The Last Dance premiers this Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 10am and 6pm. It is the creation of Marin County native Dizzy Jones who delights in melding modern style with traditional taste. Listeners will enjoy music from such artists as Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong as well as today’s hottest local groups like Slim Jenkins and Stompy Jones.
The Last Dance is something totally new on the radio. A tantalizing blend of sultry swing, moody blues, and modern soul, the show also spotlights local events and offers advice on style, love, and life in general. Anything having to do with vibrant living and vintage sensibility is fair game.
Jones is making her radio debut with The Last Dance. A classically trained actor, Dizzy Jones also has a background in musical theatre and dramatic literature. She has been the featured actor in local productions receiving rave reviews for her work (“Stunningly beautiful and superbly confident” — Marin IJ).
